TLDG Welcomes Tara Green (USMA 1994) As A New Program Manager!
Monday, August 11, 2014Tara attended the United States Military Academy for her undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering (Aerospace). During her time at West Point, Tara played intercollegiate soccer for 4 years, culminating as captain and winning of the Patriot League Championship. She was also selected as the Army Athletic Association’s female Athlete of the year. After graduation, Tara was commissioned as a Quartermaster Officer and served at Fort Riley, Kansas where she was assigned to a direct support maintenance battalion performing various leadership and staff roles at company and battalion levels. Tara later served as an Executive Services Project Officer for the U.S. Army Combined Arms Center at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. While in this position, she was responsible for coordinating and planning official visits for, as well as escorting, the U.S. Army’s and foreign militaries’ most senior leaders. Read More +

Tuesday, July 29, 2014Leaving the classroom behind, a group of 55 first-year MBA students conducted an “orienteering mission” with the Thayer Leadership Development Group (TLDG) at West Point this spring as their capstone project in NYU Stern’s Leadership Development Initiative (LDI). Students broke into small groups and were assigned “missions” in either a Leadership Reaction Course or a Navigation Challenge. Monday, January 13, 2014Anne “Annie” Havniear (USMA, ’01) is joining the Thayer Leadership Development Group as a Program Manager. Annie is a former soccer and team handball player for the United States Military Academy, where she majored in Spanish and Portuguese and commanded Company F1.
