Congratulations to the West Point Class of 2012
Friday, May 25, 2012

Greetings to all who read this message!

On behalf of the Thayer Leader Development Group (TLDG), I offer the sincerest of congratulations to the graduating members of the United States Military Academy Class of 2012!

I am confident all of you are well prepared to excel at whatever comes next, ready to join the long grey line of leaders in an organization with a rich history. Graduation belongs not only to the graduates, but to the family, the friends and the sponsors of every graduate who cheered you on and supported you every step of the way. It is an achievement shared and enjoyed by those with you and in absentia on your graduation day!

Take a few moments and listen to General Douglas MacArthur's "Duty, Honor, Country" speech given at the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York, to the Corps of Cadets on May 12, 1962 when accepting the Sylvanus Thayer Award.

General MacArthur's words are as relevant today as they were in 1962. You are now custodians of the nation's defense and we could not be more proud of our newest 2LT's!

On Brave Old Army Team!!

Thayer + YOU
