WEST POINT, NY, Feb. 10, 2017 (BUSINESS WIRE) – Training Industry announced its annual Leadership Training Companies Watch List for 2017, with the Thayer Leader Development Group at West Point (TLDG) recognized for the first time. Training Industry continually monitors the training marketplace for the best providers of training services and technologies.

“We are delighted to be recognized as one of Training Industry’s Leadership Training Companies Watch List award winners for 2017,” said Dan Rice, President, TLDG. “In only 7 years of existence, TLDG has trained executives and front-line leaders of many Fortune 2000 companies utilizing our customized, open enrollment, and online learning programs. We have worked with over 500 companies and trained over 31,500 leaders across a variety of industries including automotive, financial services, and more.”

“Whether at West Point, off-site, or online, our programs are tailored to meet each organization’s challenges while simultaneously developing leaders and teams,” said Dr. Karen Kuhla, Ph.D., Executive Director, TLDG. “A well-crafted mix of applied academics, experiential emphasis, senior advisors, inspirational keynote speakers, and engaging online courses provide a unique holistic approach to leadership development. We are proud of the superior results and exponential growth that our clients experience after attending our programs.”

Training Industry based the selection for this year's Leadership Training Companies Watch List on the following criteria:

  • New and innovative service offerings
  • Unique approach to leadership development solutions
  • Commitment to thought leadership
  • Quality of initial clients

“In our evaluation of companies for the 2017 Leadership Training Companies Watch List, we found a breadth of subject matter and levels of customization that align with the wish lists of L&D leaders,” said Ken Taylor, President, Training Industry, Inc. “The companies included in this Watch List are incorporating experiential and online content in order to enrich the learning experience for leaders of all levels.”

This recognition is the latest award for TLDG within the past year.
