TLDG's COL (Ret) Pilar McDermott delivers keynote at JP Morgan's Women's History Month event
Friday, March 24, 2017

On March 9, JP Morgan's Women on the Move and Women's Interactive Network (WIN) came together to celebrate Women's History Month through an event coined "Let's Get Real", held at Chase Tower in Chicago. The event kicked-off with a panel of women representing various business resource groups within JP Morgan, including PRIDE, Black Organization of Leadership Development (BOLD), Adelante, NextGen, and Asian and Pacific Islanders Reaching for Excellence (ASPIRE). The women engaged in dialogue, sharing best practices for overcoming challenges, building networks, leading intentionally, and maintaining a work-life balance. The Thayer Leader Development Group was honored to be featured in the event with an inspiring keynote by COL (ret.) Maria del Pilar McDermott, Ph.D.  COL McDermott's keynote focused on the themes of proving people right, leading with your authentic self, and creating an inclusive culture in which individuals belong, rather than merely fit in. The event proved to be a powerful, empowering way to kick-off Women's History Month.
