Project Coordinator

Edwina believes “whatever you focus your attention on, you will get more of it in your life.” (credit Ric Giardina). Her focus is on developing respectful relationships with people and being true and honest with yourself.

Edwina’s career began in customer service where she developed her talent of making a connection with customers, getting them to feel comfortable, earning trust, and helping them obtain their goals. She has over 20 years of customer service experience and prides herself on her ability to tap into a person’s “true needs.” She started her career with a focus on external customers and spent over 10 years developing her skill levels before she decided to attend college and pursue the administrative aspect of business management and changed her focus to the internal customer in Human Resources. At Marist College, she graduated with Cum Laude honors when she completed her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Human Resources and a minor in Communication.

During her undergraduate work at Marist College, she was introduced to Human Resources and recognized this as another opportunity to develop good relationships and help people achieve their goals. She conducted an internship at one of the area’s well-known sales and rental dealerships of Caterpillar Construction Equipment, H.O. Penn Machinery Company, Inc. It was at this time she learned about interviewing, conducting background checks on employees, the hiring process, employee relations, and the like. Also introduced to her at this time was Managing By Values (MBV), where she observed Dr. Michael O’Connor utilize MBV in leadership development. She eventually found herself with an opportunity in Property Management where she learned how to run and operate a multi-family rental community. She operated a luxury rental community, earned a National Apartment Leasing Professional certification, and won industry awards.

Edwina has also volunteered as a Mediator in small claims court for the Dispute Resolution Center, Middletown, NY in Orange, Putnam & Sullivan counties. She also served as Vice President of Membership for the Arlington Rotary Toastmasters Club in Poughkeepsie, NY, and Vice President of Membership for The National Society of Hispanic MBA’s (Formerly NSHMBA now Prospanica) New York City Chapter. Edwina now resides in Putnam County with her family and enjoys local village shops and hikes along the Hudson River, as well as domestic and international travel. Her personal values include respect and honesty.
